Save the Date: South Branch Spring Clean-Up Day
Published on January 19, 2010

The South Branch Watershed Association needs our help once again to keep our local waterways clean! We will be meeting near Spruce Run as part of the organization's Annual Clean-Up Day.

Last year, over 700 volunteers removed several TONS of trash from the banks of our local streams and rivers. This year, we can do even more with the help of Troop 200 Scots and families!

This is NOT a troop event, but I have been asked to try to get a headcount of our Scouts so the organizers can be sure to have enough T-Shirts on hand to distribute to the volunteers. Please respond to this note and let me know if your Scout (and any other family members) can lend a hand for a couple hours on a Saturday morning.

As if helping clean up your community wasn't enough, participation counts as service hours towards rank requirements -- just have your Scout bring a note to be signed by one of the organizers at the event.

We have been asked to help out at Spruce Run -- at the hunters parking lots in on Van Sickles Rd.

Contact Mr. La Tournous if you can help.
