Our Iron Chef Competition/Campout has become such a hit we held it twice this year. This time out, the location was Camp NoBeBoSco, the theme was Medieval Cooking and the secret ingredient? Tomatoes -- a food that was still thought to be poison in Medieval times. Still, the Scouts carried on with determination, admiration and inspiration and cooked up some grub worthy of a king (or at least a knight.) The competition was neck and neck, with different patrols getting kudos for best appetizer, entree and dessert. So whose Medieval cuisine reigned supreme? In the end, if wasn't food, but Scout spirit, that carried the day -- the winning patrol got bonus points for the most Scouts in uniform.
Mr. Sferra's got the trip report -- including the identity of the winning patrol -- in the forum, and the photo album is on the Troop gallery.
